Manuel Rodrigues

Manuel (Manny) Rodrigues is a seasoned software design manager with over three decades of experience in the telecommunications industry. Currently employed at Ciena since July 2010, Manny has progressed from a senior software designer to a management role, focusing on software design and development. Prior experience includes a role as a software architect at Celestica, where significant contributions to multi-service optical box architecture and product proposals were made, as well as managing development in low-cost centers. Earlier career accomplishments at Nortel involved senior software design on SONET/SDH equipment, where management experience and technical leadership were demonstrated. Manny holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Alberta, obtained in 1989.
