Mark Burton

Mark Burton has extensive experience in sales and account management within the telecommunications industry, currently serving as Vodafone Global Account Leader and Managing Director for UK & Western Europe at Ciena since May 2019. Prior to Ciena, Mark held the position of Vice President Sales EMEA at Ekinops from August 2017 to April 2019, and Vice President Europe at Transmode from July 2007 to July 2017. Additional roles include Sales Director for UK, Ireland & Scandinavia at AudioCodes, and VP of UK Carrier Sales at Nortel, where responsibilities included overseeing sales into the UK Carrier market. Mark began his career as an account manager at Fujitsu Telecommunications and Marconi, with the latter role evolving into Account Director. Mark holds a Higher National Diploma in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Coventry Technical College.
