Mark Hinds

Mark Hinds is a Senior Designer and Architect for Submarine System Solutions at Ciena, a role they have held since 2010. Prior to this, they worked at Nortel Networks and Nortel from 1996 to 2010 as a designer and architect specializing in photonic networks. Mark earned a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan, completing their undergraduate degree in 1984 and their master's degree in 1989. They also have experience in test set design and product architecture from their time at MPB Communications between 1989 and 1996.
