Meg Ryan

Meg Ryan is an accomplished professional in environmental sustainability with extensive experience in corporate strategy and project management. Currently serving as the Director of Environmental Sustainability at Ciena since June 2022, Meg activates and leads corporate-wide sustainability initiatives across multiple departments. Prior to Ciena, Meg held the position of Energy & Sustainability Manager at JLL, focusing on developing sustainability goals and implementing carbon neutrality strategies. Previous experience includes roles as a Senior Energy Analyst and Energy Analyst at JLL, where Meg managed global utility accounts and ensured data quality for ESG verification. Earlier in the career, Meg worked as a Site Engineer at Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Corporation and as an Outdoor Education Program Trainer at Colgate University, emphasizing mentorship and environmental education. Meg holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor's Degree in Geology/Earth Science from Colgate University, alongside participation in a study abroad program at the University of Cape Town.
