Michael Reade

Michael Reade has extensive experience in UNIX/Linux support and management, with a career spanning over three decades in the technology sector. Since October 2012, Michael has served as the Security Development Manager at Ciena, following a notable tenure at Nortel from February 2006 to September 2012 as a UNIX Specialist, where responsibilities included creating and maintaining UNIX/Linux images for servers and desktops during operational wind-up. Prior to that, from May 2001 to February 2006, Michael was a Team Lead at CSC, overseeing the Sun Server Support Team for the Sears account and providing global support for the Nortel account. Michael's career began at Nortel in January 1994 as a Team Lead, managing a team that delivered 24/7 support for over 10,000 Sun desktops and servers. Michael's early experience includes a student role at Bell Northern Research from 1987 to 1989. Michael holds a degree from the University of Waterloo.
