Michael Reimer is an experienced optical systems engineer with a strong academic background in applied physics. Reimer began a career at Nortel Networks in June 1999, where service was rendered until December 2004. Following this, Reimer joined Ciena in March 2010 and has continued to work in the field of optical systems engineering. Educational accomplishments include a Bachelor of Science in Honours Physics from The University of British Columbia, followed by a Master of Science and a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from the University of Waterloo.
