Paul Winter

Paul Winter is a seasoned professional in the field of network systems engineering, currently serving as a Consultant in Regional Field Systems Engineering at Ciena since March 2010. In this role, Paul supports Canadian Enterprise, Government, and Service Provider customers, providing expertise in network systems design and serving as the primary contact for advanced technical issues. Prior to this position, Paul was a Solutions Architect focused on network transformation solutions, specializing in network design, business case development, and financial modeling. Additionally, Paul has extensive experience in electro-optics design, having worked as a Senior Electro-Optics Designer at both Ciena and Nortel, where responsibilities included the design and development of advanced optical systems. Paul holds a BSc Hons degree in Materials Science from Brunel University of London, obtained between 1989 and 1993.
