Pete Bley

Pete Bley currently serves as Director of Broadband & Tribal Business Development and Associates Program and Director of Virtual Sales and Associates Program at Ciena since February 2021. Prior to that, Pete worked at Cisco from June 2008 to February 2021, holding various managerial roles focused on virtual sales within the Americas Service Provider and Global Enterprise sectors, where responsibilities included team management, strategy development, and operational process implementation. Significant achievements at Cisco included growing the Global Service Provider team's bookings from $57M to nearly $500M and expanding the team from 9 to 31 Virtual Account Managers. Earlier career experiences include roles at On Assignment Healthcare Staffing as Market Leader and Maxim Staffing Solutions as Account Manager, as well as a culinary background as Sous Chef at Green Park Inn. Pete holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Marketing from Appalachian State University.
