Peter Pupalaikis

Peter Pupalaikis is a seasoned professional in electrical engineering and systems design, currently serving as the Senior Director of Systems Design Architecture Engineering at Ciena since October 2025. Prior to this role, Peter was a Founding Member and Director of Signal Integrity at Nubis Communications, where contributions included the development of high-speed electrical-optical transceivers and signal integrity measurement techniques. Peter's extensive experience also includes a tenure as Vice President of Technology Development at Teledyne LeCroy, where high-speed measurement instruments were developed. Earlier career roles include positions at Honeywell, Sonex, TESCO Metering, and service in the US Army. Peter holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University and has participated in numerous advanced engineering projects throughout the career span.
