Ryan Maio

Ryan Maio is an accomplished Consultant Sales Engineer at Ciena, recognized as the 2022 Global SE of the Year, with a career at the company starting in June 2016. Ryan has held various positions, including Senior Systems Engineer for GCN, where responsibilities included new product introductions and system design documentation for greenfield network builds. As an Associate Systems Engineer, Ryan modeled metro and long-haul networks while studying telecommunication standards. Prior to Ciena, Ryan gained experience as a Tutor at Washington State University, a Software Engineering Intern at Cisco, a Pre-Sales Engineering Intern at World Wide Technology, and a Sign and Marking Technician at King County. Ryan holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Washington State University.
