Shiva Kumar

Shiva Kumar is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in network engineering, IT transformation, and project management. Currently serving as a Director at Ciena since November 2019, Shiva previously held key leadership positions including CIO at WR Carpenters, where IT transformation across diverse sectors was a primary focus. As Head of Engineering at Digicel Pacific, responsibilities included network planning, CAPEX and OPEX management, and overseeing significant transmission projects. Prior roles at Ericsson and Digicel Pacific involved engagements in OSS/BSS practices and network modernization initiatives. Shiva's educational background includes an Executive MBA from Nanyang Technological University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Leadership and Sustainability, and a Bachelor's in Computer Application, complemented by a diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
