Stephen Shew

Stephen Shew is the Principal of Network Standards at Ciena, where they manage standards strategy and lead a team focused on standards development across multiple organizations. They currently serve as the Rapporteur of Question 12 in ITU-T Study Group 15 and as vice-chair of the Open Networking Foundation Architecture Working Group. Previously, Stephen spent 24 years at Nortel, contributing to the development of optical control plane architecture and various protocols. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Computer Science from Carleton University and a Master of Science from the University of Toronto.
