Vinit Kumar

Vinit Kumar is a Principal Systems Design Engineer in the Network Solutions Group at Infinera since September 2022, where responsibilities include assisting customers in designing optimal optical networks from the RFP stage to deployment. Prior to this, Vinit Kumar worked at Ciena India Pvt Ltd from August 2015 to September 2022, serving as both Lead and Senior Optical Design Engineer, focusing on photonic specifications and algorithms for performance validation in Network Planning Software. Earlier experience at Ciena India Pvt Limited, Gurgaon, from May 2011 to August 2015, involved network planning and validating Layer 0 networks using proprietary tools. Vinit Kumar holds an M.Tech in Microwave and Optical Communication from Delhi Technological University, an M.Sc in Physics with a specialization in Electronics, and a B.Sc in Physics from Delhi University.
