Zenon Slodki

Zenon Slodki is a seasoned professional with over three decades of experience in product development and R&D management within the telecommunications sector. Currently serving as a Senior Manager at Ciena since August 2010, Zenon leads the design, development, and release management of agile and programmable optical transport products. Notable achievements include the launch of the Waveserver Data Center Interconnect Transport product and the development of a FIPS level-3 certified encryption transport product. Prior to Ciena, Zenon held a product development management position at Avaya and various managerial roles at Nortel Networks, encompassing extensive work in the BCM Product Group. Zenon's earlier career includes software design at Bell Northern Research and system engineering for military applications at CAE. Zenon holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Concordia University, along with a DEC in Pure and Applied Sciences from Vanier College.
