Ciencita was founded on two key questions: Why do so many well-intentioned organisations struggle to create environments where everyone can thrive? And why do so many research and innovation efforts fail to deliver solutions that benefit a wider range of people? In research and innovation contexts, decisions are often guided by data, yet the forces shaping lived experiences and outcomes - power dynamics, cultural clashes, unspoken norms, and unchallenged practices - frequently remain unexamined. Ciencita addresses this gap. Led by intersectionality experts, we apply an intersectional lens to identify how systemic and individual factors interact and uncover where inequalities persist, where leverage points lie, and where change is most needed. Combining established research methods with specialised expertise, we translate complex insights into practical tools and implementable actions that support meaningful, sustained transformation for the benefit of all.
