David Smith

David Smith has a diverse range of work experience. David started their career in 2009 as a Fremdsprachenassistent at Paedagogischer Austauschdienst. From 2012 to 2014, they worked at viagogo in various roles, including Account Executive, Junior Partnerships Operations Manager, CS Knowledge Support & Content Manager, Escalation Agent, Online Reputation Management, and Customer Service Associate. David then joined GoCardless in 2014 as a Risk Analyst, where they were responsible for protecting the company against reputational, financial, and AML/CTF risks. Their tasks included building and maintaining in-house tools, identifying patterns in financial crime, writing SQL queries, SAR writing/reporting, designing onboarding processes, and presenting risk governance procedures. In 2019, they joined Cifas as a Data Integrity Officer.

David Smith attended Calday Grange Grammar School from 2000 to 2007. David then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in German Studies at King's College London from 2007 to 2011.
