Miranda Son

Miranda Son is the CEO and Founder of CiferAI, a company developing decentralized AI solutions with a focus on security, privacy, and fairness. CiferAI's technology incorporates blockchain to maintain data integrity and utilizes a Privacy-By-Design Machine Learning Framework. The company's approach combines Federated Learning and Fully Homomorphic Encryption to enable secure, collaborative AI development. CiferAI's solutions are designed for application across various sectors, including healthcare, finance, and autonomous systems.

Prior to establishing CiferAI, Miranda Son held several key leadership positions in the technology and business sectors. Miranda was the CTO of 11st, a Korean unicorn eCommerce platform, where she led their Thailand operations (later acquired). She also co-founded and served as CFO of AVA.Fund, an AI-driven investment firm. Earlier in her career, Miranda managed her family's food and restaurant import-export enterprise, achieving multiple successful exits through acquisitions by prominent companies like Thailand's Central Restaurant Group (CRG).

Following her successful exits, Miranda Son entered the venture capital sector. In 2017, she joined Creative Ventures, a San Francisco-based deep tech VC fund. Building on this experience, Miranda co-founded her own fund, V Ventures (www.vventures.vc), in 2018. She partnered with Chalermchai Mahagitsiri, a prominent Thai billionaire, to establish this new venture. While V Ventures maintains an agnostic and opportunistic investment approach, it shows particular interest in blockchain technologies. The fund's strategy allows it to capitalize on a wide range of promising opportunities across various sectors.

Miranda Son studied Master of Sciences in Financial Engineering at WorldQuant University and Master of Engineering in AI at Thammasat University. She also attended the Stanford University Entrepreneurship Program. This educational background in finance, AI, and entrepreneurship aligns with her multifaceted career in technology and venture capital.

Miranda Son's diverse interests span both the arts and athletics. A pianist since age four, she enjoys a variety of musical instruments from classical to heavy metal. Her passion for physical challenges led her to extreme sports, where she actively participates in kitesurfing, martial arts, and figure skating. This blend of artistic and athletic pursuits complements her professional drive, reflecting her lifelong enthusiasm for learning and pushing personal boundaries.
