Mitchell Herbert is a Chief Intellectual Property Counsel with extensive experience in patent litigation and licensing. Currently serving as Senior Counsel and Lead Patent & Technology Counsel at Cigna, Mitchell directs global litigation efforts and licensing negotiations while providing actionable counsel on high-stakes intellectual property issues. Previously, Mitchell held key roles at Holland & Knight, LLP, Avigilon, and ObjectVideo, and has a background in technology transfer from Clemson University. Mitchell holds a J.D. in Patent Law from UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law along with two B.S. degrees from Clemson University in Computer Science and Computer Information Systems.
