Erik Groot has extensive experience in engineering and project management within the construction and infrastructure sectors. Starting as a stagiaire at Reef Infra, Erik transitioned to a role at Witteveen+Bos as a part-time medewerker, subsequently holding significant positions including Engineer and Project Leader at Petersburg Consultants, where responsibilities included managing various high voltage substation engineering projects. Erik served as Secretary for z.v.v. Blauw Wit '66 from 2017 to 2020 and took on leadership roles as Development Manager and Afdelingshoofd, focusing on the development of services. Currently, Erik is a Technical Manager and Design Leader at Sweco and actively contributes to CIGRE as a member of the NSC B3 (Substations) committee. Erik holds a Master's Degree in Construction Management & Engineering from Universiteit Twente and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Saxion Hogescholen, along with a Post-HBO in Energy Technology.
