CIIC-HIN (The Centre for Impact, Innovation and Capacity building for Health Information Systems and Nutrition) is a company and serves as NGO, based in Rwanda and motivated by a passion to develop and improve evidence-based decision making in healthcare provision and policies in the region. We aim to do this through building the capacity of health and educational professionals with relevant research skills, while also implementing robust research with and for our partners.

Practice Areas: 

Health Information Systems - Health information systems encompass the range of technology in health care used to acquire, store, deliver and analyse medical data. 

Nutrition  - CIIC-HIN seeks to explore areas of improvement in Nutrition, advance science in nutrition using available and state of art tools and products, translate knowledge generated through research and implementation science to contribute to policy development in Rwanda, EAC, Africa and beyond. 

Community Engagement

Education - CIIC-HIN adopts different approaches for educating and developing capacity. These include but not limited to continuous professional development sessions, e-learnings, webinars, mentorships and pre-service trainings (through academic institutions) and in-service training, teaching at the universities, engaging in internship, apprenticeship to attract and build the next generation on research skills for a better planning and implementation of policies in Rwanda and beyond.
