Antoine Munier

System Architect at CILAS

Antoine Munier has extensive work experience in various engineering and management roles. Antoine is currently working as a System Architect at CILAS since November 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Materials and Process Design Office Manager at CILAS from September 2019 to November 2022, where they managed a team of 15 engineers and allocated resources for optronics and laser projects.

Before joining CILAS, Antoine worked as a Technical Service Manager EMEA at Daramic LLC from January 2017 to August 2019, where they addressed technical issues and customer claims related to lead-acid batteries. Antoine also acted as a link between customers and internal departments, supporting sales and marketing efforts and anticipating market requirements.

Antoine gained research and development experience as a Research and Development Engineer at the CEA - Commissariat à l'énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives from February 2015 to July 2016. Antoine contributed to the ENSO (ENergy for Smart Objects) project, focusing on the study and integration of new solid electrolytes in microbatteries. Antoine conducted various chemical and electrochemical analyses and worked in a clean-room environment.

During their time as a PhD Researcher at the Institut de Chimie de la Matière Condensée de Bordeaux, ICMCB, CNRS, Université de Bordeaux, from February 2010 to June 2014, Antoine conducted research on the growth and application of LiF-Cu nanocomposites as positive electrode materials for lithium batteries. Antoine synthesized thin films and nanoparticles and performed extensive characterizations using various techniques such as SEM, TEM, AFM, UV-visible spectroscopy, and XRD.

Antoine also has experience as a teacher at Bordeaux INP in 2011, as an intern at Saft in 2009, and as a research and development intern at the Institut de Chimie de la Matière Condensée de Bordeaux and ENSICAEN in the years 2008 and 2006 respectively. Antoine also completed an internship as a technician at EDF in 2005 and Sheffield Hallam University in 2005.

Antoine Munier's education history begins in 2003 when they attended the Université de Bordeaux and obtained a Diplôme Universitaire de Technologie in Mesures Physiques. Antoine then pursued further education at the Lycée Gustave Eiffel Bordeaux from 2005 to 2006, where they earned a Prépa Adaptation Technicien Supérieur in Physique chimie. Lastly, from 2010 to 2014, Munier attended the Université de Bordeaux once again, earning a Doctorat in Sciences chimiques.
