Chris Allman

Principal, Capital Markets at CIM Group

Chris Allman is the current Principal of Capital Markets at CIM Group. Prior to their current position, Allman worked as the Group Head of Lodging Debt Capital Markets & Finance for Brookfield Properties from October 2010 to May 2013. While at Brookfield, Allman was responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and closing 18 asset level financing transactions totaling $700 million in loan proceeds and approximately $1.5 billion in asset value. Chris also assisted the Fund and JV Partner in negotiating and closing a $128 million unsecured, non-syndicated corporate credit facility for Interstate Hotels & Resorts. In addition, Allman devised and executed a complex interest rate hedging strategy encompassing over $800 million in derivative transactions and spanning both portfolio operating companies and owned real estate.

Allman has also been responsible for general corporate finance matters, portfolio capital structure, and debt covenant compliance. Chris has prepared quarterly analysis of all fund investments and spearheaded the creation of investor materials for annual limited partners meeting. Furthermore, they have collaborated with various parties to draft PPMs and fund marketing materials. Due to their impressive work history and skillset, Allman was promoted to Vice President 4-months after joining Brookfield Properties.

Chris Allman has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Cornell University, a Master of Science (MS) from Georgetown University, and a B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering & Finance from Virginia Tech.

They are on a team with Jason Mullens - Global Head of Human Resources, Nate Debacker - Managing Director, Fund Accounting and Reporting, and Dan Ripps - Managing Director, Chief Valuation Officer. Their manager is Avi Shemesh, Co-Founder and Principal.
