Torben Laursen began their work experience in 1995 as a Civilingeniør at Flexicon A/S. Torben then worked as a Software Developer at DELTA from an unknown start date until 2000. Starting in 2000, they worked as a Software Developer at microLEX Systems until 2008. In 2008, they joined National Instruments as a Senior Software Developer, where they developed AudioMASTER software in LabVIEW and worked on FPGA-based PXI-board interface development until 2013. Since 2013, Laursen has been working as a Senior System Engineer at CIM Industrial Systems, where they develop test and measurement systems primarily in the audio, electronics, and medical devices industry using LabVIEW and TestStand.
Torben Laursen completed their education at various institutions. Torben first attended Kalundborg Gymnasium from 1985 to 1988, where they obtained a Student degree with a focus on Matematisk/Fysisk. Following this, they enrolled at Danmarks Ingeniørakademi from 1988 to 1992 and obtained a B.Sc.EE degree in Electrical Engineering. Torben then pursued further education at DTU - Technical University of Denmark from 1992 to 1995, where they obtained a M.Sc. degree in Software Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Torben Laursen also obtained the Certified LabVIEW Developer certification from National Instruments in July 2014.
