Barry Shortt

Barry Shortt is an experienced project manager with a solid background in engineering and project management roles across multiple companies. Currently serving as Project Manager at CIMA+ since February 2025, Barry previously held various positions at Vale, including Project and Shutdown Superintendent and Senior Project Manager, from August 2016 to March 2025. Prior experience includes working as a Senior Piping Designer at WorleyParsons and roles as Project Manager and Piping Designer at Epco Services. Barry's career began as a Piping Designer at Colt/Worley Parsons, and earlier experience includes a position as a Piping Designer at Quadratec Consulting Engineers. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Technology from Memorial University and a Mechanical Engineering Technology degree along with a 3rd Class Power Engineering Certificate from the College of the North Atlantic.
