Jarkko Stenfors is a seasoned professional in the nuclear safety and engineering sectors, currently serving as Programme Manager for Final Disposal Equipment at Posiva Oy since January 2015. In dual roles as Unit and Programme Manager, Jarkko oversees diverse equipment projects, ensuring smooth development, engineering, manufacturing, commissioning, and testing operations. Jarkko's expertise extends to providing guidance on licensing operations for nuclear safety-related equipment and previously managing significant projects such as the Posiva Encapsulation plant. Additionally, Jarkko holds leadership positions as Vice Chairman of the Board and Board Member at Sataedu Oy and as a member of the Hallintoneuvosto at Satakunnan Osuuskauppa. Jarkko's extensive career includes roles at Sito Group and Metso Oyj, where project management and engineering oversight were paramount, and early experience at Sweco involved directing design aspects of Power Plant and Process Plant projects. Jarkko is pursuing an MBA at Turku University of Applied Sciences, building on a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Satakunta University of Applied Sciences.
