Sieglinde Snapp

Sieglinde Snapp is the Program Director for Sustainable AgriFood Systems at CIMMYT, where they lead initiatives addressing climate action and food security. A pioneer in participatory research, they developed the mother and baby trial design, benefiting farmers across multiple countries. With over 190 publications, including three books, Sieglinde has received numerous accolades, such as the International Service in Agronomy and the Beal Outstanding Professor award. In their past role as a professor at Michigan State University, they focused on inclusivity and capacity building, mentoring many students in their academic pursuits. Prior to CIMMYT, Sieglinde held positions with ICRISAT and The Rockefeller Foundation, contributing significantly to soil science and agricultural practices.
