Simone Bnà is an HPC specialist for academic and industrial CFD applications at CINECA since 2013. Previously, Simone was a visiting PhD student at Texas Tech University, working on the implementation of a Vanka smoother for fluid-structure interaction equations. Simone earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Nuclear, Energy, and Environment Control Engineering from Università di Bologna, where they also completed Master's and Bachelor's degrees with cum laude honors in Energy Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, respectively.
