Christopher Springfield

Christopher Springfield is an accomplished professional in the field of lighting and visual effects, currently serving as Group Head of Lighting at Cinesite since May 2021. Prior experience includes roles at Blue Sky Studios as CG Supervisor and Head of Lighting, where contributions involved overseeing workflow design for the production pipeline of "Nimona," and providing leadership during the production of "Spies in Disguise." Christopher's extensive career at Walt Disney Animation Studios spanned from 1998 to 2018, with progressive roles including Lighting Supervisor for "Wreck It Ralph 2" and CG Supervisor for the "Beauty and the Beast" stereo conversion project. The career began at Digital Domain as a Digital Artist, and academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Caltech and a BS in Engineering Physics from Colorado School of Mines.
