Christopher Laurent has a diverse work experience in various industries. Christopher is currently working as an Adjunct Professor at the Milwaukee School of Engineering since February 2022. Previously, they held leadership roles at Cinnaire, where they served as President of Cinnaire Solutions and Senior VP Business Development. Their responsibilities included leading a team of development managers, associates, design specialists, and asset managers in real estate development projects across the Great Lakes and Mid-Atlantic regions. Christopher also worked as a Real Estate Professional at Urban Apex, specializing in entitlements, planning, financial analysis, market studies, and capital needs assessments. Laurent also has experience in business and real estate development at Wisconsin Management Company and MSP Real Estate. Earlier in their career, they served as the Wisconsin Market President at Gorman & Company, overseeing the timely and budgeted delivery of development projects. Christopher also worked at WHEDA, managing a multifamily development team and overseeing federal affordable housing and lending programs. Laurent has a background in tax legislation and policy, as well, having served as the Director of Tax Legislation and Policy at the National Council of State Housing Agencies. Christopher started their career at Meriter Hospital, where they held supervisory roles in operating room materials management.

In 2002, Christopher completed a Certificate program in Executive Leadership at the University of Notre Dame - Mendoza College of Business.

From 1985 to 1989, Christopher attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Zoology.

Before pursuing higher education, Christopher graduated from Wisconsin Heights High School in 1985 with a college preparatory degree.
