Laura Perry

Laura Perry has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Laura had a long tenure at the Alabama Supercomputer Center, where they served as an Information Security Analyst Senior. In this role, they led the K12 Security Operations Center (SOC) and was responsible for enterprise cyber security, disaster recovery and business continuity planning, and conducting network security scans. Laura also worked closely with system and network administrators. Prior to this, Laura held computer and research positions at the UAH Office of Technology, where they performed research and analysis for Pratt Whitney Rocketdyne and created a web application for the USPTO website. Laura also has experience as a Licensed Veterinary Technician at the Regional Referral Hospital and Family Pet Care. Additionally, Laura owned and operated a PakMail franchise, managing employees and earning the Franchise AllStar award. Starting their career at the American Automobile Association, they served in various technical roles, including software development and project management.

Laura Perry obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from The University of Alabama in Huntsville from 2011 to 2013. Laura also holds an Associate of Applied Science degree in Veterinary Technology from Jefferson State Community College. It is unclear when they completed this program. Laura Perry pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Central Florida, but it is unknown when they attended or if they completed the program. Laura also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Central Florida, but the timeframe for this degree is unclear as well. In terms of certifications, Laura Perry obtained the ECSA certification from EC-Council in February 2017, the CISSP certification from (ISC)² in March 2015, the CompTIA Network+ certification in July 2012, and the CompTIA Security+ certification in March 2012.
