Shane O'Brien

Shane O'Brien is an accomplished safety professional with extensive experience in various managerial roles focused on health, safety, and environment. Currently serving as the National Safety Manager at CIP Constructions since October 2019, Shane has previously held significant positions including Safety Manager and Group Manager - Safety at Lipman Pty Ltd, and Zero Harm Manager at Downer. Prior experience includes leadership roles such as Head of HSE at Growthbuilt and Field HSSE Manager at QGC. Shane’s career in safety management began at Lend Lease as National EHS Manager and included an early role as Project Safety Manager at Leightons. Shane's educational background includes a Post Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management from RMIT University and a Graduate Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health from the University of Greenwich.
