Federico Tobar is currently serving as the Regional Advisor for Ensuring Supply of Sexual and Reproductive Health for Latin America and the Caribbean at UNFPA, focusing on promoting innovation in health policies and systems. They have been an academic coordinator for the Master's program in Health Systems and Services Administration at the University of Buenos Aires since 2010, though currently on leave. Federico has also owned a consultancy firm, providing expertise in health and medication policies across 14 countries since 2005. Previously, they worked as an international consultant on drug policy with the World Bank from 2009 to 2011 and formulated health programs in Paraguay for the Inter-American Development Bank from 2004 to 2008. Federico holds a Master’s degree in Health Care Administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas.
