Gala Díaz Langou has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Gala started their career at CIPPEC, where they held multiple roles over the years. Gala began as a Project Assistant in 2006 and progressed to become an Analyst of Projects, Coordinator of Projects, and eventually the Coordinator and Director of the Program of Social Protection. Gala worked at CIPPEC until May 2021, where they served as the Executive Director.
Alongside their work at CIPPEC, Gala also worked as the President in Argentina for AMERICA SOLIDARIA from January 2014 to March 2019. In 2017, they took on the role of Co-Chair of the T20 Argentina in the Taskforce of Gender Economic Equity. The T20 is a group that provides policy proposals to the G20, and Gala contributed to discussions and research on gender equity.
Furthermore, Gala has been a Professor at the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella since March 2019. Their expertise lies in social protection programs, as evidenced by their various roles in this field throughout their career. Gala holds a Magister degree in Public Policies and Development Management from the University of Georgetown and a Bachelor's degree in International Studies from the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella. Gala has also worked as a consultant for UN agencies, international organizations, and governments in Latin America.
Gala Díaz Langou obtained a Bachelor's degree in Bilingual Sciences and Literature from the Instituto Emilio Frey - Woodville School between 1989 and 2001. Gala later pursued a degree in International Studies at the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella from 2002 to 2006. Finally, they completed their education at Georgetown University between 2008 and 2012, where they obtained a Master's degree in Public Policy and Development Management, specializing in social policy.
