Jonathan Maple

Jonathan Maple is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in Linux kernel development and systems engineering. Currently serving as Sr Principal Linux Kernel Engineer at CIQ, Jonathan leads technical design and maintenance for LTS kernels while also enhancing tooling and processes. Previous roles include positions at Amazon Web Services, where Jonathan contributed to Amazon Linux migration and automated S3 Fleet management, alongside impactful projects in systems development. Prior experience includes software engineering at Cray Inc. and CAS, with a strong foundation in high-performance computing and program performance tuning. An educator at Ohio University, Jonathan has also engaged in various technical roles across multiple organizations, culminating in a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Ohio University.
