Barbara Pick is an accomplished international consultant with extensive experience in legal and policy consultancy, particularly in the areas of geographical indications and plant genetic resources. Since September 2018, Barbara has been providing expertise for the ZIM-GI project at CIRAD and has concurrently served as a research associate at FAO, focusing on the implementation of Farmers' Rights and sustainable use of plant genetic resources. Additional roles include evaluations for the World Intellectual Property Organization on geographical indications for Grenada and Mongolia, and consultancy for GRET on geographical indications in Laos.
