Gregory Hurley

Gregory Hurley is an experienced professional with a strong background in automation engineering and computer systems engineering. Gregory worked as a Senior Automation Engineer at Circadence from June 2023 to the present. Prior to that, they were a Cyber Range Event Engineer at Zivaro from March 2019 to June 2023.

Before their role at Zivaro, Gregory worked as a Computer Systems Engineer at Northrop Grumman from May 2018 to March 2019. There, they built on-prem datacenter environments using VMware virtualization, NetApp storage, and Cisco UCS technologies. Gregory also developed automated unit testing and configuration compliance tracking using PowerCLI, resulting in a significant decrease in environment deployment time.

Gregory's experience also includes working as a Computer System Analyst at Insight Global from November 2017 to March 2019. In this role, they developed a PowerShell script that saved 20 man-hours per run for obtaining updates for legacy Microsoft products. Gregory was also involved in the deployment and configuration of Cisco UCS, VMware ESXi, and VMware vCenter nodes as part of the Ground-Based Midcourse Defense Communication Network virtualization team. Additionally, they deployed and configured Cisco Identity Services Engine in a high availability distributed site architecture.

Before entering the private sector, Gregory served in the US Army as a Military Intelligence Systems Maintainer/Integrator from November 2013 to December 2017. During their time in the Army, they led a team to enable network interoperability with strict firewall control, served as a lead systems administrator for a complex network infrastructure, and developed standard operating procedures for the installation and maintenance of network systems.

Gregory also gained early experience as an Engineering Intern at WB Moore Company in 2012 and as a Farm Hand at Hinds' Feet Farm from June 2009 to August 2011.

Gregory Hurley's education history includes a MOS Certification 35T MI Systems Maintainer/Integrator from the US Army Intelligence Center of Excellence in 2014. Gregory also obtained additional certifications such as CompTIA Security + and CompTIA Network + from CompTIA in July 2014. In October 2018, they obtained the VMware Certified Associate - Digital Business Transformation certification from VMware. Lastly, Gregory obtained the Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA) certification from Cisco in July 2019.
