Alex Côté is an enthusiastic financial crime-fighting professional currently serving as the Director of the Financial Intelligence Unit at Circle since 2025. Prior to this role, Alex held various positions at Binance from 2023 to 2025, including Global Onchain Monitoring Lead and Global Head of Transaction Monitoring & Intelligence Ops. Alex also worked at Kraken Digital Asset Exchange as Compliance Team Lead for Crypto Fraud & Theft, and completed roles at BMO Financial Group focusing on Enhanced Due Diligence. Alex holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Sociolegal Studies and Philosophy from the University of Toronto, as well as a certificate in Financial Crime Analysis from Seneca College. A dual citizen of Canada and the United Kingdom, Alex is a proud Francophone and avid outdoorsman.
