Conor McDermottroe

Conor McDermottroe has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Conor is currently a Senior Staff Engineer at CircleCI, where they assist engineering teams in solving complex problems and breaking them down into manageable tasks. Prior to CircleCI, they worked as a Software Developer at Engine Yard, where they focused on various products and technologies such as Chef, Ruby, and shell scripting. Conor also worked as the Head of Infrastructure at Distilled Media, responsible for maintaining and improving the infrastructure for Adverts.ie, Boards.ie, and Daft.ie. Before that, Conor was a Senior Developer at Boards.ie Ltd, where they made speed improvements to the platform. Conor also served as a Technical Manager at McConnells Digital, where they managed online advertising campaigns and wrote code. Additionally, Conor co-founded Edgespace, a software development company, where they worked as a developer and sysadmin. Conor also had contract roles at EMC and Securify, where they developed and maintained software systems. Earlier in their career, Conor worked as a Software Developer at Bitbuzz, where they built the first version of their captive portal system, and as a Technical Support Team Leader at eircom net, where they managed a team of internet support technicians.

Conor McDermottroe earned their B.A. (Mod) in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin, where they attended from 2000 to 2004.
