Rommy Ghaly has a diverse range of work experience in the field of data analytics and business intelligence. Starting in 2004, they worked as a Junior Business Analyst at eBay, Inc. before moving on to become a Senior Business Analyst and later a Manager of Customer Intelligence at the company. During this time, Rommy gained a thorough understanding of data warehousing technologies and analysis of buyer/seller segmentation.

In 2007, Rommy joined EA DICE as a Senior Manager, where they focused on quantitative analysis to drive marketing and customer retention. They made strategic recommendations to EA management to improve profitability and business success. Subsequently, Rommy transitioned to the role of Senior Manager, Online Commerce - Marketing & Analytics, focusing on building the EA STORE brand and expanding customer loyalty.

In 2011, Rommy joined Microsoft as a Senior Analyst, leading the analysis of streaming video applications on Xbox and playing a key role in building the data warehouse and analytics support infrastructure for ESPN, UFC, and MLB.

From 2012 to 2013, Rommy worked as a Senior Analyst - Game Analytics - North America at DeNA Studios Canada, where they performed deep game analytics in the mobile gaming space, focusing on game balancing, in-game economy, and monetization.

In 2013, Rommy joined Relic Entertainment as the Lead - Business Intelligence and Game Analytics, where they built a data warehouse team, analytics function, and data-informed strategy at a AAA gaming studio.

From 2014 to 2020, Rommy worked at <intent>, starting as the Head of Analytics and Business Intelligence and later transitioning to the role of Director of Strategic Partnerships. They also served as the Director of Product Analytics and Global Optimization Management, driving product analytics strategy and data-driven product optimization efforts.

From 2020 to 2022, Rommy worked at Mode as the Director of Data Science, overseeing the growth of the data science and engineering function and driving value through deep analysis of user, product, and commercial data.

Currently, Rommy is Sr. Director of Product Analytics and Data Science at CircleCI. They drive the strategy, operations, execution, and research of the product analytics and data science function, overseeing three primary areas: product analytics, experimentation, and machine learning. They also coach managers, data analysts, and data scientists to expand the data footprint and drive impact across the business and product.
