Ryan Barkley

Ryan Barkley has a strong background in web development and software engineering. Ryan started their career in 2009 as a Web Developer Intern at Century Aluminum. Ryan then worked at Kaizen Webworks from 2013 to 2017, where they developed websites and web applications for clients, eventually becoming an agency owner.

In 2017, Ryan joined MetroNet Inc. as a Web Developer. Ryan completed a stalled project by refactoring existing Perl codebase and leveraging React for UI development. Ryan also collaborated with the marketing team to apply company brand guidelines to customer-facing web UIs. In 2019, Ryan was promoted to Software Engineer Manager, where they managed a development team responsible for the company's self-service customer portal. Ryan led the implementation of various internal software projects related to customer communication and incident management systems.

Most recently, Ryan joined CircleCI in 2021 as a Senior Software Engineer. In August 2023, they were promoted to a Staff Software Engineer.

Ryan Barkley received their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Information Systems from Kentucky Wesleyan College, which they attended from 2009 to 2013. Ryan has also obtained a certification as a Triplebyte Certified Front End Engineer from Triplebyte in August 2020.
