Alex Richardson is currently the Production Engineering Manager at CircuitHub. Prior to this, they were a Manufacturing Engineer at Amphenol LTD from November 2016 to November 2019. There, they were responsible for supporting production with any manufacturing issues, producing or updating process or manufacturing instructions, in line with quality manual and designing tooling through CAD and creating engineering drawings. Alex also led projects from waste reduction, to implementation of new machinery, recording research and test results in engineering report documents. Investigating internal rejects on the FRACAS system, and using root cause analysis, problem solving tools (Pareto, 5-Why and Fishbone) were also part of their duties. Furthermore, they provided feedback to pre-production and design engineering regarding design for manufacture, working with various engineering teams to produce DFMEA and PFMEA. Lastly, they delivered training to operators, team leaders and other engineers and mentored apprentice, towards the end of their tenure.

Before their work at Amphenol, Alex Richardson was the SMT Team Leader at Integrated Technologies Ltd from July 2010 to November 2016. There, they were responsible for leading a team of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Operators in the assembly of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs). This involved setting up and running the SMT line, loading programs into the pick and place machine, feeders and printers. Alex also monitored First Pass Yields (FPY), ran Continuous Improvement (CI) projects and completed process audits.

Prior to their work at Integrated Technologies Ltd, Alex Richardson was a Team Leader at DVR Ltd from April 2009 to July 2010. There, they were responsible for leading a team of workers in the assembly of electronic products. This involved training new staff, monitoring KPIs, quality control and maintaining team morale.

Alex Richardson has a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Greenwich, a City & Guilds in PC Maintenance and Repair from Mid Kent College, and a National Diploma in Electronic and Hardware Engineering from the same school. Alex also has a Secondary School diploma in GCSE's from St John Fisher.

Alex Richardson reports to Andrew Seddon, Founder & CEO. They are on a team with Handré Stolp - Senior Software Engineer, Robert Avakian - Director, Customer Engagement, and Michael Carvin - Production Operations Specialist.
