Alex Burge

Alex Burge is an experienced Information Technology professional with a focus on cybersecurity and infrastructure security. As an Information Technology Specialist at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency since September 2022, Alex applies a deep knowledge of information security. Prior experience includes serving as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland Global Campus and holding various IT positions, including Senior IT Solutions Architect at Elite Systems Engineers, LLC, where significant contributions to virtualization efforts were made. Alex has also worked as a Senior VMWare Engineer at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Professional Services Engineer at NetApp, and performed critical IT roles within the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command, General Dynamics Information Technology, and the U.S. Army. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science from the University of Maryland Global Campus, as well as a Doctoral program in Advanced and Equitable Computing at Morgan State University, alongside a Professional Certificate in Cybersecurity from Harvard Online.
