Jake Mehl

Jake Mehl is the Section Chief at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, a position held since November 2021. Prior to this role, Jake served as a Regional Security Inspector at the Transportation Security Administration from October 2009 to November 2021, overseeing TSA Region 7, which includes multiple states, and acted as a subject matter expert in security regulatory activities. Additionally, Jake held the title of President's Management Fellow at the Performance Improvement Council in 2016, focusing on enhancing governmental management practices. Earlier experience includes working as a mate at Fairfield Industries in seismic research from September 2006 to March 2010. Jake earned a Bachelor’s degree from the United States Merchant Marine Academy and a Master's degree in National Security & Strategic Studies with a focus on Irregular Warfare from the U.S. Naval War College.
