Jerrel Conerly

Jerrel Conerly is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in various roles within the federal government. Currently serving as a Cybersecurity Advisor at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency since May 2023, Jerrel previously held positions at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, including Information System Security Officer and Information Assurance Analyst from January 2016 to May 2023. Prior experience includes working at the United States Department of Defense as a Senior IT Specialist and Wireless Access Manager from September 2010 to January 2016, where responsibilities involved supporting server applications and managing over 400 devices. Additionally, Jerrel served as an Information Assurance Security Officer, analyzing security solutions and ensuring compliance with Information Assurance Vulnerability Management alerts. Earlier in the career, Jerrel was part of the United States Air Force, specializing in Cyber Transport Systems from May 2005 to May 2011. Jerrel holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from The University of Southern Mississippi.
