John Busch is an experienced Protective Security Advisor for the State of Wisconsin with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, part of the Department of Homeland Security, since January 2014. Previously, John served for four years as the Protective Security Advisor for Northern Illinois and Chicago. Prior to joining CISA, John held the position of Mission Assurance Assessment Team Leader at the Army Interagency Training and Education Center from February 2014 to May 2022, overseeing assessments of critical Department of Defense assets. John’s career includes various roles within the United States Department of Defense, including team leader positions in vulnerability assessment and systems analysis. Additionally, John served in logistics and force protection roles with the 19th Special Forces Group and as an Infantry Team Leader in the 1st Infantry Division. John Busch holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the American Public University System and has studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Illinois Chicago.
