Karrie Jefferson

Karrie Jefferson possesses extensive experience in cybersecurity and policy development, currently serving as Deputy Associate Chief of Policy at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency since August 2018. Prior roles include Senior Cybersecurity Policy Advisor and Senior Privacy Analyst within the same agency. Karrie has also held significant positions at the U.S. Cyberspace Solarium Commission as Director of Cyber Engagement, and at the Office of Biometric Identity Management as Policy, Privacy, and FOIA Section Chief, overseeing vital programs related to biometric data sharing and privacy. Early career experiences include supervisory roles at US-VISIT, research analysis, and intern work focused on terrorism event geo-coding. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Security Studies from the Naval Postgraduate School and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland.
