Ryan McDonough

Ryan McDonough is an accomplished professional in the field of cybersecurity and infrastructure security, currently serving as the acting Branch Chief at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency since April 2018, where oversight of cybersecurity program effectiveness is a key focus. Prior experience includes roles as a Management Program Analyst and Business Process Analyst at Northrop Grumman from July 2014 to May 2018, as well as positions at ITA International as a Tech Writer/Training Officer and Infrastructure Protection Liaison to the DHS National Operations Center. Additional roles include Watch Analyst at the Institute for National Strategic Studies and Research Assistant. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from Penn State University, a Graduate Certificate in Transnational Security Threats from American University, and ongoing studies towards an MBA focusing on Information Technology at The George Washington University.
