Travis Johnson

Travis Johnson serves as the Emergency Communications Coordinator at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency since January 2022 and has been a Research Affiliate at the Stephenson Disaster Management Institute since May 2017. With extensive experience in the military as a Master Sergeant in the RF Transmission Systems for the 236th Combat Communications Squadron of the Louisiana Air National Guard since November 2004, Travis played a key role as Base Spectrum Manager during deployment in Afghanistan. Previous roles include statewide interoperability leadership in the Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, where responsibilities encompassed coordinating emergency communications responses, implementing interoperability programs, and managing statewide communication networks. Additionally, Travis held positions as a Senior Account Manager at Motorola Solutions and a Lead Broadcast Engineering Technician at the Technical Services Group, where expertise in telecommunications and emergency response was developed and utilized effectively.
