David McGrew

David McGrew is a highly accomplished professional with extensive experience in cryptography and software development. At Cisco Systems, Inc., since October 1998, David has held various leadership roles including Cisco Fellow and Technical Leader II, where responsibilities included managing the Advanced Cryptographic Development Group and developing the Secure RTP standard. Earlier positions involved forming and leading critical cryptographic teams, including the Strategic Cryptographic Development Group and the Crypto and VPN Software Development team. Prior to Cisco, David served as a Cryptographic Scientist at Trusted Information Systems, Inc. David earned a PhD in Theoretical Physics from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from The Ohio State University.
