Gary Shives

Gary Shives is an Enterprise Systems Architect at Cisco Systems, Inc., where they are recognized for their results-oriented leadership and expertise in IT, network, and telecommunications architecture. They previously served in various roles within Howard County Government, including Deputy Director of Infrastructure and Wide Area Network Manager, overseeing critical technology projects and teams. Early in their career, Gary served in the United States Air Force as an Aircraft Fuel Systems Mechanic and worked as a Civil Engineering Designer/CADD Manager at Harris Smariga and Associates. They are currently pursuing education at the University of Maryland.
